'This is a long overdue review, but here it is! We absolutely LOVE Jana and Jamie! We met them through my brother and sister-in-law who booked them for an engagement shoot in the Bay Area. We loved how their photos turned out, so we too booked them for our engagement shoot in San Diego and wedding in San Luis Obispo. It was seriously the best and easiest decision we made throughout the planning process. Upon meeting them at the engagement shoot, we were instantly greeted with hugs and knew right away that this felt good. They are so cool and down to earth, it made taking photos so comfortable and easy. Wedding day was perfect with them! They got all the shots we wanted and more. We were also so impressed and surprised with the clear umbrellas they provided us when it started raining unexpectedly! It made such fun shots! 'If I could give 100 stars I would. Jana and Jamie are absolutely AMAZING! Working with them was so pleasant and easy. You'd think it might be a bit odd to have a stranger hang out with you for 11 hours AND on one of the biggest days of your life, but they're both so sweet and easy going they fit right in. Not only was our day with them comfortable BUT THE PHOTOS!!! EVERY SINGLE person who has seen them will not stop talking about how well they captured our day. Our planner who has seen MANY wedding albums said ours is one of the best captured weddings she's worked on.

'I feel so lucky that Jana and Jamie agreed to shoot my engagement photos. This duo knows how to make every shot just a little more magical. They have an innate sense of what works and captures even the smallest of moments beautifully. My fiance and I have never had professional photos taken, so naturally we were nervous and worried about looking awkward in front of the camera. 'Okay, I'm going to try not to cry happy tears while I write this. Jamie and Jana are phenomenal. From the moment I met Jana on Skype she was there to answer any question I had and was always prompt to do so. I fell in love their their photos and just knew I had to work with them. The day before my wedding they went out to the winery and looked around to plan out where the best lighting and background would be, without me asking them to do so. After they showed up, Jamie was with the boys and Jana was with the girl. (We didn't want a first look so we had to stay completely separate the whole day!) Jana felt like part of the family. She was so professional and just teeming with joy. There are a few candid photos that my mom took and you can just see her smiling at her camera in the background. It felt like I had a friend in the room with her there. She was so sweet, constantly showering me and my friends in compliments all while being so professional and making sure to communicate my vision and hers. It was a blast having her photograph my bridal prep. When I met Jamie he was just the same; an absolute professional and joy. And let me tell you, this couple works in glorious tandem. Jana would take close up photos, make sure we all still looked good, directed us to stay as we were and then Jamie would take a larger photo. We had a large bridal party of 15 people so it was a challenge and they made it seem like a piece of cake. They also made sure we stayed on time and captured all the moments we wanted. They also coordinated our large bridal groups so that Carson wouldn't see me before the ceremony. The entire night they worked tireless to capture every single moment. Thank you so much Jana and Jamie for being a part of the new start of an amazing chapter in our life. It was an honor and a joy to have you guys there. If anyone is looking for quality service from people who are passionate and extremely good at their job, please please, book River Medlock Photography... you will be taken care of from start to finish. 'Jana and Jamie went above and beyond expectations for our photoshoot. We were hesitant at first to do an engagement session because we were so far out and close to the wedding already but were very glad we ended up doing photos.
1. Jana and Jamie reached out to the venue to schedule for us
2. They were extremely professional, easy to work with and the two of them work so well together
3. We also had our dog with us for our photos. Not only did they work seamlessly with us, they were able to work so well with our pup.
4. The poses and shots they took felt quite unique and were not the standard cliche engagement photos. I love all of our action shots
5. If i could rate 10 stars I would, Facebook only lets us do 5.
6. My only regret is that we didn’t find them sooner before booking our wedding photographer.'

'Because my husband and I chose to have a very small wedding, it was important to us that we had a professional photographer there to capture the day not only for us in years to come but also to share with our friends and family (especially our grandmothers) who weren't present. However, with only 8 guests we needed someone who could find the balance between getting great shots and fitting in to the party. Jana was excellent at all stages of the process, from first contact to sending us the edited photographs...On the day itself I felt she found a good balance between reportage shooting and getting us to pose so there were shots of everyone together. The images themselves are absolutely stunning, and I really enjoyed reliving the fun of the day when I went through to chose my favourites for a photobook album.'

'There should be a 10 star rating for Jana and Jamie, they are THAT amazing! They shot our wedding on June 16th so effortlessly. Looking through the photos I was surprised at how often I didn't even know pictures were being taken. They both made us feel so comfortable and guided us through our shots. 'From beginning to end, Jana and Jamie were more like friends than photographers, making the whole family feel relaxed. The photos were natural and even the vicar was amazed at how unobtrusive they both were which allowed them to capture the entire ceremony from various view points within the church. We received stunning pictures of the venue, both bride's and groom's preparations and all of our guests arriving at the church as well as all the expected posed photographs.
